Best Music for Savannah?

I love summer. I'm actually not a super big fan of Savannah until the summer hits. Last winter quarter was unusually cold and rainy, so it is nice to finally have some sunshine. Savannah is a special kind of place to drive. Like, I bet if you got a decent areal shot you'd realize the whole design is like one of those mazes in those travel books your parents gave you to keep you quiet. You know the ones.

Even though I'm not a super big fan of Savannah outside of Summer, I am a huge fan of Drayton street. I've witness three or four wrecks there the past couple of months. Nothing major, but I have noticed the same formula keeps happening. Guy (or girl - probably girl, they can't drive*) gets on Drayton. Looks at the cars in front of him/her. Realizes he/she is going the wrong way on a one way street. Finally, this person pulls the whole "get off the effin road as fast as I can" move where they go flying into the sidewalk. Or into a tree. Or something like that. It's pretty funny (after the fact - I don't laugh till I know people are safe). I kind of empathize though. It took me awhile to figure out what's what with Savannah streets.

So anyways, me and a friend were discussing the best music to listen to while in Savannah. You know, what fits the mood. We both thought Five for Fighting, Battle for Everything was excellent for the atmosphere around here, especially the track: "If God Made You..."

I actually haven't given this album a listen in awhile. I think the fact that it was a 2004 album and it's now 2010 makes me feel old - so that's why I avoid it. It's a pretty solid album. I also think the track NYC Weather Report and The Devil in the Wishing Well are pretty fitting for this side of Georgia. Another good artist that fits Savannah (to me anyways) is Andrew Bird. Particularly Armchair Apocrypha, which is one of my favorite albums lately (the best track off there has got to be Plasticities)

So I thought I'd leave this open-ended and ask, to whomever might read this, what you think. Best music for the Savannah atmosphere?
